What's actually different between JPEG and JPG?

Nothing about the image itself: .jpeg and .jpg are the same file format under two different extension spellings, a holdover from older Windows systems that limited extensions to three letters. This tool simply renames and re-saves the file so it carries the more universally expected .jpg extension.

Does converting reduce image quality?

Because JPEG is a lossy format, re-encoding can introduce a small amount of additional compression, though it's usually not visible to the eye. If you need a pixel-perfect copy, this tool isn't a substitute for simply renaming the file on your device.

Do my files upload anywhere?
