Frequently asked questions

Will converting WebP to JPG lose image quality?

JPG uses lossy compression, so there can be a small quality trade-off, especially for WebP images that used lossless compression or transparency. For photos and typical web images the difference is usually hard to notice.

What happens to transparent WebP images?

JPG has no transparency support, so any transparent areas in your WebP image are flattened onto a white background. If you need to keep transparency, use WebP to PNG instead.

Can I convert several WebP images at once?

Yes. Drop multiple files in and each one converts in the same batch. A single image downloads directly as a .jpg; two or more are bundled into a single .zip so you get one download instead of many.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion runs on your device, so your images stay with you unless you email the result or save it to My Files. That also means there's no fixed file-size cap; the practical limit is your device's memory.
