Why is the GIF bigger than the WebP?

WebP uses modern compression while GIF dates from the late 1980s, so the GIF is often several times larger. That's the trade-off for compatibility. If size matters more, keep the WebP or convert to MP4 instead.

Will colors or transparency change?

GIF supports at most 256 colors per frame and only fully on/off transparency, so smooth gradients can band slightly and soft alpha edges become hard. For typical graphics, stickers and short animations the result looks close to the original.
