Translate any document into another language with AI.
Turn a PDF, Word document, text file or ebook into another language with AI — it detects the source language for you and hands back a .txt or .docx. Encrypted in transit.
Upload your file: PDF, Word (.docx), plain text, RTF, ODT, or EPUB. Files up to 100MB work.
Choose the language to translate into, then click Translate. Your file uploads, and its text is sent to a third-party AI provider, which detects the source language automatically and translates it.
Read the translation on the page and download it as a .txt or .docx file.
No. The AI provider automatically detects the source language from the extracted text, so you only choose the language to translate into.
No. This tool returns a new plain-text and Word document containing the translated text, not a copy of your original file with the text swapped in. Formatting, images, page layout, and design are not preserved.
Yes. Your file uploads over an encrypted connection so its text can be extracted and sent to a third-party AI provider, which generates the translation. That provider does not use your content to train its models. Universal PDF is verified clean by Google Safe Browsing, and files transfer over encrypted (TLS) connections.
PDF, DOCX, TXT, RTF, ODT, and EPUB. Scanned or photographed PDFs have no extractable text layer, so run them through OCR PDF first, then translate the result.
