Which file types can I upload?

Both .docx and the older .doc format are accepted. If your document lives in Google Docs, download it first via File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx), then upload that file here for conversion.

Will my fonts and layout be preserved?

Standard fonts like Arial, Calibri, and Times New Roman render closely to how they look in Word, though the conversion uses a different rendering engine so minor differences in kerning or line-breaking can occur. If your document uses an uncommon font that is not embedded, a close substitute is used instead, which can shift line breaks further, so it's worth a quick check of the output.

Can I edit the PDF afterwards?

A PDF is a fixed-layout format, so it is not directly editable the way a Word file is. Keep your original .docx for future edits, or run the PDF back through the PDF to Word tool to recover an editable copy.
