No. Splitting runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript, and the document never leaves your device unless you pick a server-powered export format (compressed, OCR or Word, for example), email the result, or save it to My Files; those transfers use an encrypted connection. That makes it safe to split contracts, statements and other sensitive files.
