What Form 1300t is used for

Citizenship by conferral is the pathway most migrants use to become Australian citizens. Form 1300t is the general eligibility stream, which applies if you are aged 18 or over and under 60, hold permanent residence, satisfy the residence requirement, are likely to reside or continue to reside in Australia or maintain a close and continuing association with Australia, and are of good character.

• Children under 16 can be included on a responsible parent's application. Include each child on one parent's form only, and the child must be a permanent resident at the time of application and time of decision.
• Children under 16 included on a responsible parent's form do not attract a separate application charge; a child applying in their own right does, and a responsible parent must consent to and sign that application.
• You must generally be in Australia when the Department decides your application, apart from limited exceptions described in the residence requirement section of the form.

How to fill out Form 1300t

Read the information pages at the front of the form before you start, then work through the parts in order. The form asks for your identity details, residence and travel history, character information, and preferences for the ceremony, and it includes a consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check used to assess good character.
