Frequently asked questions

Can I still edit the drawing after converting to PDF?

No. PDF is a fixed-layout, print-ready format. Layers, dimensions, and CAD entities are flattened into static page content, so it's built for viewing, printing, and sharing rather than further CAD editing. Keep your original DWG file if you need to keep editing.

Will layers and line weights look right in the PDF?

Visible layers, line weights, and colors are rendered onto the page as they appear in the drawing. Layers that are turned off or frozen in the source file won't show up in the PDF, matching what you'd see printing directly from CAD software.
